About the event
The idea of non-compliance asserts that an individual has failed to follow a professional's instructions or advice. This idea assumes a hierarchy that places the professional at the top, and blames the client when that advice is not followed or the client is unsuccessful. Together we will dive into the concept of non-compliance and come to understand that the concept itself is much more nuanced. Then, through the framework of Disability Justice (using the 10 pillars of DJ as a guide), we'll investigate how we can better set up ourselves, our clients, and our communities for success and liberation.
